May 27 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until June 24, 2020

Wednesdays at 1:00:  Linda Barnes will lead a discussion of Corrie Ten Boom’s book Tramp for the Lord. It is a collection of stories from her evangelistic travels and the people she came in contact with, lessons the Lord taught her, etc. She was a simple Dutch watchmaker whose family chose to help Jews escape annihilation by the Nazis. She spent time in prison and in a concentration camp. You’ll have to get the book, but it’s free on Audible and is available on Nook and Librivox, plus physical copies are also able to be ordered. Email Linda to participate (lindabell1019@gmail.com).

Wednesdays at 7:00 pm:  Pastor Barnes will lead  a four week Bible study in which we examine how the saints of the Old and New Testaments faced heart breaking realities and yet learned to hold onto their faith in the Living God, keep their essential identities and overcome the world. Email  Pastor Barnes to participate (pastorbob@mtoak.org) and you  will be sent the materials you need.  (Note: If you want to participate but are unavailable on Wednesday nights, please notify us and we will try to schedule a second class.)

Wednesdays at 7:00 pm: Kurt Bulger continues to lead a discussion of David Jeremiah’s book Signs of the Second Coming.  It is a study of Matthew 24 and 25.  The book is available for order online.  Email Kurt to participate (bkbulger1@gmail.com).
